Our mum, Janet Rose Farmer, was a strong and independent lady who fought bravely against lung cancer followed by a small brain tumour in the last two years. Despite a positive prognosis she sadly passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday 15th November 2020 aged 77. Janet was also a Nan, Great Nan, Sister, Auntie and Great Auntie. She will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends who loved her very much. All will remember a kind, caring and courageous lady who had a passion for flowers, gardening, nature and a variety of arts and crafts activities. Above all she loved her family and having worked as a hospital nurse and in the wider community as a carer she was very fond of the NHS. She was always so grateful for the wonderful 'special' care and support she received during her treatment for cancer in East Kent and in London at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital. It would mean a lot to us in the memory of our mum if family and friends could support Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital who continue to provide invaluable cancer treatment and care to patients and their families, every day. Thank you Ian and Adrian
